The Dutch Housing Value Institute, the NWWI, validates (approves) valuation reports of homes from affiliated appraisers and ensures that each valuation is drawn up uniformly and according to clear guidelines.


Yes, all lenders in the Netherlands accept a valuation report that has been validated by the NWWI. Almost all lenders now require a valuation report validated by the NWWI, even for non-NHG financing.


The WEW (executor of the NHG) has determined that from 1 January 2010 a valuation report for the financing of an NHG mortgage may only be accepted if it has been 'validated' by one of the institutes recognized by the WEW.
