The Abstede district is very centrally located, just outside the city center. It is a historic territory and a characteristic neighborhood. Traditionally this has been a working-class neighborhood, but the district is improving due to its excellent location.
The buildings in the neighborhood are diverse, you will find beautiful mansions with authentic details, attractive workforce housing and modern terraced houses, the latter mostly rental properties, built around the 1980s and 1990s to renew the city. As a result, the district has two sides, on the one hand mostly rental properties, on the other hand stately owner-occupied homes in a higher segment.
The city center is within walking distance, where you walk along the Ledig Erf and the Oude Gracht. In addition, the connections to various highways are excellent, allowing you to get out of the city quickly. The children have also been taken into account, with a sports playground.
